Abstract: James Seamans and Sally his wife to Jacob Seamans, all of Fishkill, almost 10 acres in Fishkill for $1150, dated 27 March 1839, recorded 26 April 1842. Transcribed from FHL microfilm 565057, Dutchess Co., New York, Deeds, vol. 73, pp. 18-19.

Transcription:
This Indenture made the twenty seventh day of March in the year one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine Between James Seamans and Sally his wife of the town of Fishkill in the County of Dutchess and State of New York of the first part and Jacob Seamans of the same place of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Eleven hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the United States of America to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened remised released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien remise release convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever All that piece parcel and tract of Land lying in the town of Fishkill Dutchess County butted and bounded as follows. Beginning at a rock lying on the north side of the road that leads from the road that crosses Carmans neck[?] out by Henry Hulls from thence north eleven degrees east five chains and seventy seven links to a stake and stones standing in Caleb Pecks line and about one rod south of the brook known by the name of Mill brook from thence north sixty two degrees west in company with the said Caleb Pecks five chains & seventy eight links to the corner of the fence thence north fifteen degrees west still in company with the said Peck seven chains & fifty two links to a stake & stones being the corner of Henry Hulls land thence south seventy degrees west in company with Henry Hull four chains to a stake & stones standing in the corner of the fence thence thence [sic] south fourteen degrees west still in company with said Hull eight chains & seventy two links to the middle of the before mentioned road thence south sixty two degrees east along said road seven chains & forty eight links thence south seventy degrees east still along said road five chains & twenty links to the place of Beginning Containing Nine acres and three quarters & seven square rods of Land be the same more or less. Together with all and singular the tenements hereditements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest right of dower property possession claim and demand whatsoever as well in law as in equity of the said party of the first part of in or to the above described premises and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances To have and to hold all and singular the above mentioned and described premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever And the said James Seamans his heirs the said premises in the quiet and peaceable possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the said party of the first part their heirs and against all and any person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same shall and will Warrant and by these presents forever Defend. Dutchess County ss. On the twenty ninth day of March one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine before me the subscriber a commissioner of deeds of the County of Dutchess appeared James Seamans and Sally his wife and formally acknowledged that they had executed the within deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned and the said Sally in a private examination separate and apart from her husband acknowledged that she executed the within deed freely without thread fear or compulsion of her said husband and I further certify that I know the persons who made the said acknowledgement to be the individuals described in and who executed the within deed.
